INTRODUCTION 

Raayan is a 2024 Indian tamil language noir action drama film directed and written by Dhanush .in in his second directorial venture it is produced by kalanithi Maran under sun pictures . The film stars Dhanush in the titular role. 

The film was officially announced in January 2023 under the tentative title D50, as it is Dhanush’s 50th film as a leading actor, and the official title was announced in February 2024.

Story

This film follows Kathavarayan as Raayan a fast food hotel owner in North Chennai who begins to protect his family when they inadvertently get muddled in war between two rival gangs The casting is superb. Dhanush as Raayan never disappoints. His acting is marvellous. The song “Bogi Bogi” in Dhanush’s voice gave the whole audience goosebumps. Superb story. We often think ‘blood is thicker than water,’ but our own blood can betray us for their selfishness. The screenplay, along with the use of blue and red colours in the movie, effectively engage us with themes of vengeance and love for family. Dhanush’s casting choices for this movie are excellent.

Dushara as Durga is excellent in her acting. Her natural face and skin tone are captivating. Her portrayal of Durga does justice to the character, with her anger revealing shades of KAALI. Sundeep, Aparna, and Kalidas performed very well in their scenes. They are very talented and did full justice to their characters. SJ Surya -What amazing acting and dialogue delivery! His body language and acting are truly a gem for Indian cinema

Raayan box office collection is 155 crores gross, Raayan is the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year, staying ahead of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 (150.94 crores gross). Even in India, it’s the highest-grossing Kollywood film in terms of net collection, staying ahead of Indian 2’s 83 crores net. Total collection 150 crore 

And talkin about Rating according to me i am giving 6.5/10
